About Clive Ralph
I am a freelance professional photographer with over 30 years behind the camera in NZ, Australia, US, Canada and Europe. When I was a teenager I trained as a photo-lithographer and I’ve had a passion for photography ever since. I get a real buzz translating commercial requirements into creative reality or as Unlimited Magazine put it:“ I like the challenge of reading the story and deciding the best way to illustrate it” . And at the other end of the scale, portraiture is still a favourite - I’ve twice been awarded the NZ Institute of Professional Photographers coveted national portrait award, and have been a commercial Director of the NZIPP and an Honors Board member
Away from the lens, my wife Jenny and I have recently relocated to Wellington to be closer to our 3 adult children. I love travel and music, and I’m a born-again surfer - although this time round, a lot of the hair has gone along with most of the skill!
