Commercial
From Annual report through to product shot or total marketing campaign, I deliver on creative briefs with no drama. I work with agencies, designers, direct corporates and publishers. Key industries reflected in my portfolio include wine, architecture, tourism, theatre, forestry, and marine.
Editorial
My work is strong on people, illustrating stories for North and South, Unlimited Magazine, NZ Women’s Weekly, and Your Home. I have also been featured in several publishing ventures including: A Day in the Life of NZ, Scenic Hideaways, and NZ Racing Scene and was the photographic author for Napier: City of Style.
Architectural
Whether providing images for Architects marketing material or supporting submissions and promotions for the NZ Institute of Architects, I love capturing unique creations in unique ways. Personally, I have great respect for the relationship between a designed structure and its surroundings and the way it can be captured through clever lighting and photography. I have been a guest judge in the Resene NZIA regional awards in HB.
People
My assignments often involve photographing people at work, at leisure, all ages, all moods. I love the challenge of getting people to relax and be themselves in front of the camera to create authentic shots.
Travel and tourism
My work features in marketing collateral for the travel and tourism sectors, ranging from magazine editorials through to billboards and web. I also have an extensive stock-library including art deco and viticulture images. I love capturing unique atmospheres whether at home in NZ or overseas.
Personal
Throughout my career I have had wonderful opportunities to take photographs of landscapes on my own doorstep here in NZ, and am drawn constantly to our coastline and its many moods, which I have always had a strong attachment to.
